Social Events

St. James Preschool is made up of fun and engaging folks, who like to provide opportunities to get together and enjoy each others’ company. Here are just some of the many organized social events.

Cocktail Parties

At the beginning of every year, a parent from each class hosts their fellow classroom parents, teachers and the director for a cocktail/dinner party. It’s a great way to get to know each other outside of school.

Moms’ & Dads’ Nights

Every few months there is an evening where just the mothers or just the fathers get together for an evening out. Usually at a local bar, restaurant or family home, the nights provide a great chance for parents to catch up.

Monthly Park Playdates

Every month a playdate is hosted by a handful of parents at a local playground. Coffee, bagels and other light refreshments are served on a chosen Saturday or Sunday from 9–11am.

Family Fun and End-of-Year Picnics

At the beginning and end of each school year, SJP hosts a picnic for all current and incoming families in Golden Gate Park. It’s a great way to start and end the year, spending time with families and SJP staff alike.
