St. James Preschool’s strong academic and nonacademic programs promote early math and literacy, empathy, and curiosity about the world in its students, and a sense of their place in it. By the time they graduate, SJP students are ready to take their joy of learning into elementary school.

But the process of getting them there can be stressful for parents. What can we offer? Our deep knowledge of local schools and our students, paired with strong relationships with local elementary admissions directors. We partner with families during the school search, organizing both group discussions with parents to discuss the process, and one-on-one meetings to determine the ideal educational environment for individual children.

"The director huddles with every family during the kindergarten search process. We came to our meeting befuddled and bemused, whereas the director came with pages of notes about our child and several clearheaded suggestions for his future. Our son ended up at what had appeared to be a unicorn school that we didn't dare consider. It turned out to be the ideal school for him (and us)."
