St. James Preschool, located in San Francisco's Richmond District, is an accredited, fully licensed, non-profit school for two to six year old children. Since our founding in 1963, St. James Preschool has been committed to educating and caring for children in our community.

We are a multicultural group of children and teachers who reflect the diverse world in which we live. St. James Preschool admits children of any religion, nationality, or ethnicity. We encourage all families, however constructed to apply. Need-based financial assistance is available.

We are proud to be accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. NAEYC administers the largest and most widely recognized national, voluntary, professionally sponsored accreditation system for all types of early childhood schools and child care centers.

We are associated with the Episcopal Church, but operate non-denominationally. We do have a weekly chapel where character building stories and lessons from many traditions are shared and learned about.
