Educational Involvement

There are plenty of ways for parents to be involved in their children’s educational experience at St. James Preschool.

Classroom Volunteering
Parents can join a classroom and share with students their own talents, stories, hobbies and so on. Projects can be as simple as reading a book, or more involved such as making sushi! Volunteering in the classroom is encouraged and welcomed by all staff.

Field Trip Chaperones
Parents can join classes on field trips both during the school year and at summer camp. Trips include visits to the City’s superb playgrounds, museums, and other favorite local spots.

Room Parent
Each class has 2 room parents who work with the staff  to oversee the happenings of the classroom and be attentive to any concerns fellow classroom parents might have.
